First few gestures of 2020

9th Jan '20

First few gestures of 2020. Last year was so hectic! I travelled a lot, applied for a homeloan (believe it or not this takes months (if you're a self-employed, single woman)), adopted a cat, got married, and helped complete our inhouse shortfilm. Hoping that I can completely dive into my work this year and up my game! These are a bit rusty, but I'mma catch up!

January Gestures

Kickstarted the year by practicing Gesture drawing to loosen up before work! There has definitely been an improvement in pose and proportions, but I still need to work on my speed. Here are the best of the past 3 weeks.

Sketchbook nudes and travels!

7th Feb 2013

As usual I am posting these very late. I'm such a lazy bum when it comes to scanning. Here're a few doodles from my sketchbook. I used my color pencils after really long!

Also we were travelling a really far off distance for one of my friend's sisters wedding. It was so far, and we got lost atleast thrice. After a point I took out my sketchbook and started sketching at the bike of the bike. Here're the sketches from that day.

 Travelling with Madhu and Alok

I was sitting behind Arvind. This is him.

Frequently asking for directions!

This is what most of the journey turned out to be like. Forked roads!

Day 15 - Female Studies (Babe Lab)

9th Jan 2012

Hmm! Feels weird to write 2012! :-s
My last project JH post was shamefully exactly 10 days ago, since I'm making this post for the 9th of Jan. Found this amazing website that teaches and helps pin up artists, animators etc. to draw women - because are exceptionally difficult. It's called babe-lab! (for 18+) So here's some of the stuff I practiced out of it. :)

The Greedy Pencil

This blog is a collection of (some of) my work, the art I do for fun, my inspirations and the sweat that goes into making animated films. Enjoy!
